Information about the study
The study unit consists 4 modules:
1) cloud concepts, 2) cloud infrastructure and security, 3) basic cloud services and 4) cloud architecture and scaling.
The study unit is online and you can do it in your own pace.
In this course you will learn how to:
- define the cloud concepts and economics
- explain the cloud pricing philosophy
- identify global cloud infrastructure components and describe security and compliance measures
- use AWS core services VPS, EC2, S3
- demonstrate when to use AWS database services
- explain AWS cloud architectural principles and explore key concepts related to AWS load balancing and auto scaling
Virtual self-pace studies. Bi-weekly individual assignments and online discussions.
A weekly detailed schedule will be released in the beginning of the course.
According to the degree regulations (section 18) “students must be active in the study unit or notify their teacher in charge if they cannot attend. If they fail to notify the teacher of their absence in the first contact session, their enrollment will be rejected.
– Study unit lasts for 10 weeks – 3cr / 75 hours

Grading for this 3 credit part of the course is based on points you’ll get by returning the assignments. The grading schema is:
91 – 100 = 5 81- 90 = 4 71- 80 = 3 61- 70 = 2 51 – 60 = 1 0 – 50 = Fail

In this study unit you’ll will learn cloud basics and you will get practical learning with AWS cloud. This study unit is done together with AWS Academy and the study unit content is aligned with the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification.
