The course consists of the orientation, four modules on different subject areas, and the final assignment that combines all the subject areas.
The course’s four modules are:
- Key regulation
- Environmental management and risk management
- Sustainable development
- Chemical safety and emissions.

In this course you will learn to:
- define the requirements and best practices for environmental risk management
- identify environmental threats and their impact on organizational operations
- assess and manage environmental risks
- create operational models and guidelines for environmental risk management.
The course is suitable for anyone interested in environmental risk management.
After this course you are not only able to identify environmental risks and their impacts but also know how to manage them.
You can complete the course at your own pace from June 1 to December 31, 2024. The course does not include scheduled teaching so you can start it anytime. Canvas learning platform is used for the course.
The scope of this course is five (5) credits, which is equivalent of 135 hours of studying.
All material needed for studying is in the Canvas learning environment or is linked there.
The course is evaluated on a scale 1 – 5 or fail.
The study unit corresponds to the requirements of Bachelors level education.
