Cancellation conditions and cancellation of enrolment

By enroling for Laurea’s courses, you agree to our cancellation conditions. See below for more detailed information and instructions for canceling enrolment.

Binding enrolment for a course

Enrolment for a course is always binding. Enrolment takes place in accordance with Laurea’s instructions. You are responsible for your own enrolment and the fulfillment of any prerequisites. By enroling for the course, you accept the terms. Laurea is not responsible for your enrolment.

Education product-specific cancellation conditions

Each Laurea course has its own cancellation conditions. Always check the cancellation conditions in the course product information.

The cancellation conditions below apply to educational products, if no specific cancellation conditions have been defined for the product.

If the enrolment for the open university of applied sciences education is canceled no later than 14 days before the beginning of the teaching, you will be refunded 80% of the course fee. This does not apply to continuous learning, specialization training, or pathway studies. In the case of specialist course, the general cancellation terms apply, unless specific cancellation terms have been defined in the information.

Cancellation of registration

Cancellation of enrolment must be done primarily through your own account or by contacting customer service. Cancellation of the course to the teacher or another person is not accepted.

Instructions for cancelling enrolment

Go to “Orders” in your My Account.
Select the order that includes the enrolments you want to cancel and click “View”.
Select the product whose order you want to cancel and click on “Cancel”. After this, the system asks to confirm the cancellation.
After confirmation of the cancellation, the cancellation notification is sent to the customer service and the customer service processes the cancellation request. Once your cancellation has been processed, a notification will be sent.

Laurea reserves the right to make changes to the course and cancel the course due to insufficient number of participants. If Laurea cancels the paid education, we aim to refund the payment in full within seven (7) days of canceling the education. The payment for the canceled course cannot be transferred, but the course must be paid in connection with a possible new enrolment. If the education at the open university of applied sciences is canceled and the student is entitled to a refund, the refund can be made within the semester in which the education was intended to take place.

Laurea reserves the right to make changes to the education. At Laurea, we operate in accordance with Laurea’s common safety guidelines for courses, and an exceptional situation is not a reason for refunding the training fee. In cases of serious illness or injury, which can be proven in writing with a medical certificate, the general cancellation conditions can be deviated from on a case-by-case basis.
