Student services

As a participant in Laurea’s courses, you are entitled to the Laurea student services below.

Laurea Library

The Laurea library is open to everyone and you can borrow literature needed for your studies. You can get a library card by visiting the library. You need a photo ID. You can also activate library card in Tuudo app. See for more information about library cards in Finna.

Student Affairs’ Office

The student affairs’s office helps students with matters related to their studies. You can get, for example, study certificates and transcripts from the study office. If necessary, the study office will refer your case to other experts.

Guidance

You can get guidance in regard to the courses.

University Chaplain

University chaplains serve students regardless of stage of studies, outlook on life, religion, nationality or life situation. The contact information of the chaplains is in the student intranet, which requires logging in with Laurea’s credentials.

Services that do not apply to continuing education students

Open University of Applied Sciences studies, continuing education and specialisation education are not education leading to a degree, so they do not entitle to study support or other study social benefits such as student housing, Kela meal allowances or travel discounts.

Students participating in courses are not entitled to the services of a school psychologist and a special education teacher. If it is possible to buy meals at a reduced price on Laurea’s campuses during the courses, this has been announced separately in connection with each course.
